Ozan Kaya
About
I completed my undergraduate education in Kocaeli University in 2 major, Mechanical Engineering (2012) and Mechatronics Engineering (2013). By means of the developments of Robotic fields and my ambition on it, I received my Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (2016). My master thesis is Humanoid Robot Arm design, Dynamic Analysis, and Optimization.
Then, I received my PhD degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (2023). I worked on "A novel gripper design based in series elastic actuator for object recognition and manipulation". During my master and PhD, I worked as a research assistant at Istanbul Technical University.
To enhance my vission and collaboration, I was supported by Advanced Research Opportunity Program (AROP), which was provided by the Excellence Strategy of the German federal and state governments, at RWTH Aachen University.
I am currently advancing my career as a researcher/lecturer at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Olav Egeland. Additionally, I teach the TPK4170 Robotics course, where I share advancements with students, and I supervise eight master’s students, supporting both their theoretical and experimental research endeavors.
