In my PhD project, I use multimodal critical discourse analysis to investigate representations of community in textbooks for German and Norwegian as foreign/second languages.

I am also deputy head of the "Research Group Educational Media" (forskningsgruppe læremidler) at the Department of Teacher Education and I teach German Language Proficiency at the Department of Language and Literature.

Since 2010, I have gained teaching and leadership experience at lower and upper secondary schools in Germany and Norway. I passed the First and Second State Examination for teaching in upper secondary schools (German, French, History) in Freiburg and Stadthagen (Germany) and obtained a Master's degree in the History of Modern German Literature at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (Germany).
