Molly Young Mc Partland
About
PhD research: I will focus on characterizing the toxicity leaching from common plastic materials and identify the causative chemicals using non-target chemical analysis. For that, I will apply a battery of in vitro bioassays covering health-related endpoints, such as cell receptors, endocrine disruption, and high-resolution mass spectrometry.
Masters thesis: DNA-double strand breaks in relation to PFASs and toxic elements in incubating female common eiders (Somateria mollissima) in the central Baltic Sea
- Norwegian University of Science and Technology; molecular and cellular biology
Bachelors thesis: Induction of cytochrome c oxidase (Cco/NO) in HEK29 human embryonic kidney cells under hypoxic conditions
- University of Colorado, Boulder; molecular, cellular and developmental biology
