What I do:

My background is in civil engineering (transport engineering) and traffic psychology (environmental psychology). I am currently conducting research on travel behaviour, traffic psychology, and how transportation interacts with health, environmental, energy, and safety issues using theory-driven, data-driven, and simulation modelling approaches. As a researcher, I am specifically working on a project, investigating mobility transition in Norway, funded by the Norwegian Centre for Energy Transition Strategies (NTRANS) of NTNU.

I am a full-time employee and member of two following research groups at NTNU:

Publications:

As of today, I have published over 30 peer-reviewed articles in international journals and 7 papers in other journals. I have published primarily in journals related to transport policy, transport planning, travel behaviour, traffic psychology, urban planning, transport geography, sustainability, safety, and health science. As of now, I have also presented 19 papers at international conferences.

As a project manager and project fellow, I have worked on a number of transport-related projects, including "National Travel Demand Modelling", "National Origin-Destination Survey," and a number of "Transport Master Plan Studies".

Course:

Assistant professor (lecturer), Department of Psychology, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, “PSY2900”: Bachelor thesis in psychology (Transport Psychology), Spring 2022. Supervising eight bachelor students.

I taught this course at NTNU. I taught transport psychology, including behavioural theories related to travel decisions and research methodology. In the end, I supervised eight theses concerning:

Electric car in future urban trips: A matter of personal or social norms,
Walking behaviour in urban mobility (2 theses),
Public transportation use (2 theses),
Electric bike use and its determinants,
Who is likely to ride electric scooters, and
Users and non-users of carsharing services in Norway.
