At NTNU I work in the group of Johannes Kabisch. We aim to harness B. subtilis spores as building blocks for novel biomaterials by means of genetic engineering and spore surface display.
Studied Biology (B. sc.) and Biotechnology and Synthetic Biology (M. sc) in Duesseldorf, Germany.
During my PhD I went on to work on unconventional protein secretion in fungi with the aim of engineering novel virus detection systems based on chitin as an immobilization platform and nanobody-chitinase fusion proteins as immobilized detectors, as well as metabolic engineering for glycolipid and single cell oil production.
