About
PhD Project: Microplastic Cycles in Northern latitudes
The aim of the PhD project is to investigate the role of microplastics in major coastal sedimentary processes; identifying potential accumulation `hotspots` and significant transportation pathways.
My research focusses on microplastic dispersal in glacierized and formerly glaciated catchments & fjords. The methods employed are field & ship-based. Microplastic characterization is aided by spectrographic techniques.
