About

Professional and Artistic Work

Assistant professor at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology, teaching Communications and activities using Drama pedagogical methods. My work focuses on the central role of utilizing cultural and artistic disciplines as interactive activities for children and youth. I also create educational videos and video documentation.

Furthermore, I work as a stage director stageing theater productions with both professional actors and amateurs, including children, youth, and adults. I also write scripts for theater and develop stage design.

I have, among other things, been a stage director in an artistic project with the Tanzanian dance and acrobatics group Tumaini Group for 10 years, resulting in several tours in Tanzania and Norway. The main collaborator in Norway has been Den Kulturelle Skolesekken (The Cultural School Bag).

I have collaborated with Teater Fusentast in several productions. The shows we have created together have toured in both Europe and Africa. It's animation theater/puppet theater where warm humor also infuses serious themes. Photo at the top: Kristin B. Bruun.
