Eirik Melå Skjelsvik is a PhD Candidate in Urban planning on the project "Accessibility and Spatial Justice in Norwegian Cities" at the Department of Architecture and Planning, NTNU, Trondheim.
The PhD-project is based on the ongoing accessibility shift in urban transportation evaluation and investigates socio-spatial inequalities in accessibility/mobility in Norwegian metropolitan areas. The emphasis in the project is on transport disadvantaged groups.
His general interests within planning includes integrated land-use and transportation planning, especially accessibility planning, applied GIS and social inequalities in travel behavior.
