I am the EU financial advisor to the departments of Biology and Physics. In this role, I provide support during all phases of the grant process from application through to the EU final report. I work closely with project leaders and department administration to ensure timely, accurate financial information. I also provide guidance where applicable regarding EU project rules, financial best practice, timekeeping, EU portal use and BEVISST project leader portal access and use.
I have a bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of North Georgia and a master's degree in accountancy from Colorado State University. I worked for many years as a lab supervisor in both California and Colorado before going back to university for my master's. After 15 years as an accountant in the US, I moved with my family to Norway in 2020.
