My collaborative research with SINTEF and Petronas is to understand the geomechanical processes associated with CO2 injection operations where pore pressure, stresses and temperature change within the storage reservoir and overlying shales. Before joining NTNU, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the SHARP project at TU Delft, exploring the link between reservoir stress change, ultrasonic wave velocities and acoustic emission through lab experiments to develop a monitoring solution able to forecast irreversible deformation in reservoir rocks. During my PhD in India, I combined petrophysical properties with pore attributes to optimize gas flow and storage potential in unconventional reservoirs like coal and shale. Apart from my technical research, I am also a review expert for Annex-I country contributions in UNFCCC and a co-author of the book "Unconventional Hydrocarbon Reservoirs: Coal and Shale".
