Cristina Monzer
About
I'm interested in how culturally-specific interpretations of events (in political and media communication) resonate with audiences - focusing on covid-19 public debates. Before joining the Elections, values, and political communication research group at NTNU, I completed a Research Master’s in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology at LMU Munich.
Research interests: political communication, cultural resonance, framing theory. Methodologically biased towards: comparative research, survey experiments, computational social science, and both quantitative and qualitative methods for textual analysis.
