I am a PhD student in environmental humanities at The Department of Art and Media Studies. My project examines how our relationship to the ocean is shaped by cultural representations in literature and film. My emphasis is on feminist, queer, and decolonial perspectives and on speculative fiction.
My project is a part of NTNU Ocean's HAVANSVAR initiative. I am also a member of NTNU's Environmental Humanities Research Group and The Norwegian Researcher School in Environmental Humanities. I have previously worked on the project TransLit as a research assistant.
I also co-organize the “English and Foreign Language Research Seminars,” which is a collaboration between the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Language and Literature at NTNU.
Education
I have an MA in English literature from NTNU, with a focus on environmental humanities. In my thesis, I examined strategies of survival and resistance in post-apocalyptic narratives.
