Cathinka Thyness
About
Cathinka Thyness is a PhD fellow in medical education. Her PhD project explores medical students' experiences with clinical supervision. In addition, she is involved in TverrProf - an interprofessional research collaboration that looks at psychological safety and professional identity among NTNUs social- and healthprofessional undergraduate students.
Through the revision of NTNU medical school's second phase (year 3 and 4), she contributes to curriculum development, particularily with regards to supervision and clinical education at NTNU. She is also involved in clinical education development at University of Bergen, where she is part of the PROFMED project.
Cathinka's supervisors are Professor Hilde Grimstad and Professor Aslak Steinsbekk.
