Research areas: Sustainability in IT education, computer supported collaborative learning, technology enhanced learning, computer supported cooperative work, and reflective learning, university-industry collaboration in IT education, employability and career readiness.
During the autumn semester 2024 I am on research leave at KTH in Stockholm.
Director of SFU Excited (Centre for Excellent IT Education) https://www.ntnu.no/excited In the autumn semester 2024, I am on temporary leave from this role.
2016-2020: chair of UDIT (The Norwegian Conference on Didactics in IT education), which is part of the annual Norwegian IT conference NIKT. Co-chair of NIKT 2021.
Teaching (current and prior) includes user centered design, collaboration technology, project work, software development.
In 2010-2014 I worked in the 7FP EU-project MIRROR on reflective learning in the workplace, in which I had a coordinating role related to theory/model building.
My educational background is a Master and PhD degree from NTNU Dept. of Computer and Information Science. I also have a Master in Education from the University of Oslo. I have been working as a researcher at SINTEF and teaching staff at NITH (currently Høyskolen Kristiania).
