Ahmet Soydan
About
Ahmet Soydan is currently pursuing his PhD thesis, titled "Numerical Modeling of Ship Hydrodynamics in Real Sea Conditions," under the supervision of Professor Hans Bihs in the Marine Civil Engineering Research Group. He received his master’s degree in the Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, from Istanbul Technical University in 2018. Previously, he worked as a Research Engineer at Milper Propeller Technologies Inc. (2015-2017), SEFT Ship Design (2017-2019), and Turkish Aerospace (2019-2021). His research interests include:
- Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Ship hydrodynamics in waves
- Wave-structure interaction
- Floating body dynamics in waves
- Mooring line's dynamics
- High-performance computing (HPC)
- Rotor/propeller aero/hydrodynamics-aero/hydroacoustics
