About
I am a PhD Candidate at the Industrial Ecology Programme, supervised by Francesca Verones and co-supervised by Daniel Beat Müller and Martin Dorber.
My research revolves around understanding the relationship between the environmental impacts of plastic pollution and societal consumption patterns of plastic products. I use methods such as Material Flow Analysis (MFA) to map the plastic cycle in society and the resulting leakages to the environment. I'm also developing Life Cycle Impact Assessment (LCIA) models to account for the physical impacts caused by the ingestion of macroplastics in marine ecosystems. Throughout my research, I aim to provide science-based policy recommendations for achieving a more sustainable plastic economy.
My PhD is part of MAPLE – Marine Plastic Pollution: Environmental Impact and life cycle scenarios, which is one of NTNU's interdisciplinary sustainability projects.
