Societal security covers many aspects, and how we define it depends on who we ask and where we look. In Security Narratives, we explore the various ways people understand and talk about security.

For example, government agencies focus on specific security issues tied to their responsibilities. An ambulance service will have a different approach compared to the coast guard. Different academic fields also see security from unique angles. Industrial engineers may prioritize protecting supply chains, computer scientists focus on data security, while health professionals think about the medical system's ability to keep providing care during crises.

Even community groups like churches or sports clubs might not explicitly discuss security, but their work strengthens societal security through the social ties and awareness they foster.

The goal of Security Narratives is to bring together all these different perspectives to create an integrated and comprehensive understanding of societal security. This is important because building a secure society requires the cooperation of many different fields and professions.
