Course content
This course is related to the Master thesis in the field of Industrial Ecology, at the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. Students choose and design the structure and contents of their work in collaboration with the teacher, and if relevant also in agreement with an external suspervisor from industry or authorities.
Learning outcome
Students will complete a master thesis within the field.
Knowledge: Use scientific methods in the implementation of a independent work in the field.
Skills: Students will be able to prepare a project plan with milestones, reporting partial results and write a thesis in accordance with established standards.
General competence: Documented scientific qualifications through completion of a master thesis in the field.
Learning methods and activities
Independent thesis work under supervision. The thesis may wholly or partly be completed at an external company, in agreement with the academic supervisor.
Recommended previous knowledge
TVM4500 Industrial Ecology, Specialization Project and TVM4129 Industrial Ecology, Advanced Course (see course description for 2012/13).
