Rita Vasconcellos L. dOliveira Bouman
About
Rita Vasconcellos Oliveira works as an associate professor in the area of Fair and Sustainable Energy Transitions. She also works as a researcher at SINTEF Ocean, in the Department of Climate and Environment.
Rita has a multidisciplinary academic background in sustainability, which includes the areas of Biology. Geology, Industrial Ecology. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences and another in Applied Ethics. Previously, she worked as a researcher in Biotechnology (Lisbon University) and later in Sustainability Ethics (NTNU).
Rita's work at NTNU is mostly focused on the justice implications of the European clean and energy transition and the development of economic models which include ethical dimensions. Other areas of interest are co-benefits and trade-offs in climate change mitigation from scientific and ethical viewpoints.
