Supervision
Information for master students
I can supervise master theses on a broad range of topics within and beyond my own research areas. Methodologically, I have a focus on quantitative research, but I’m also experienced with qualitative research and have supervised a lot of bachelor and master theses which used qualitative methods. I can supervise theses written in English as well as in Norwegian.
My supervision of master theses combines individual supervision meetings with group supervision. In group supervision (about every third week), we discuss common problems and questions that the master candidates are facing, and the master candidates provide feedback to each other (e.g. on texts they have written, on their measuring instruments…) and get feedback from me. I expect that the students whom I supervise take part in the group supervision meetings.
If you are interested in having me as your master supervisor, please take contact.
PhD candidates currently supervised
Hedvig Tønnesen (NTNU, as main supervisor)
Sina Özdemir (NTNU, as co-supervisor)
Elizabeth Jean Solverson (Nord University, as co-supervisor)
MA theses supervised until 2023 (at NTNU, JGU Mainz, and FU Berlin): 33
BA theses supervised until 2023 (at NTNU and JGU Mainz): 35
