About
I am an associate professor in software engineering. I do research in digitalization in service organizations, in particular within healthcare and social and welfare services. I publish within the fields of information systems and CSCW (computer-supported cooperative work). I mainly use interpretative qualitative methods in my research. I also teach courses in research methods for computer science students, and do research on pedagogical aspects of my teaching. Please contact me for cooperation. Research
I have been doing research in digital transformation (under different banners) since early 2000. My research falls within the research fields of information systems and CSCW (computer-supported cooperative work). I use mainly interpretative qualitative research methods. I am involve in large case studies with our partners within service organizations, in particular public healthcare and social services. I am also involved in NTNU programs that promote collaboration between NTNU and public sector, see NTNU-NAV-HMN samarbeidsprogram, and TRD 3.0. Teaching
I teach research methods at master’s and PhD levels. I supervise master and PhD students within digital transformation, information systems, and CSCW (computer-supported cooperative work). I do research on pedagogical aspects of teaching research methods. Contact me if you teach research methods, or if you are a student who wants to do a master’s project within my areas of research.
- Research methods courses IT3010, DT8111, og TDT39: I teach these course with colleagues Marius Mikalsen and the Digital Publics group.
- Software engineering course TDT4140: I am involved in some assessment work in this coures that is taught by my colleague Torgeir Dingsøyr.
- Master project supervision: I supervise several master students each year.
